There’s an old saying in Russia about Perfidious Albion, « If two brothers one morning suddenly attack each other, than an Englishman spent the night under their roof. » Vladimir Kornilov reminded Russians in recent years of another, cruder phrase, dating back to the Crimean War, in which the British and French allied with the Sardinian Italians and Turks but failed to defeat Russia, « The Englishwoman shits« .

Terror in Kashmir as a Provocation for War

The terror incident that occurred in Pahalgram on April 22, 2025 was a vicious act by five Islamist radicals that left 26 people dead and another 20 injured. The viciousness of the massacre of Kashmir tourists aside, the reaction, counter-reaction and overall escalation toward war between South Asian regional nuclear rivals India and Pakistan that’s followed has been out of proportion to the incident itself.

Both sides have cut diplomatic ties, have expelled each other’s nationals, have placed their armed forces on alert and moved them toward their respective borders. There have been reported exchanges of fire along the Line of Control (LOC) in Kashmir over the last several nights, as well as stepped up deliveries of likely advanced arms via urgent cargo flights from China to Pakistan. This would be bad enough for a regular conflict but between two nuclear powers, an all-out war would place hundreds of millions at risk.

My View of the Decades-Old Russian-Indian Friendship

As a US Army veteran and Russian citizen, while I appreciate decades of Indian friendship toward Russia and the Indians’ appreciation for Russian arms, I don’t have a dog in this fight. In fact, Moscow’s interest is clearly aligned with those of its strategic partners China and Iran in preventing a conflagration on their respective southwestern and eastern borders. And as a Russian with a brain and some awareness of South Asian geopolitical history, I recognize that certain provocations from both sides have all the hallmarks of a manufactured crisis. Some Muslim « conspiracy theorists » who sympathize with Pakistan would go so far as to say that the terrorist cell that perpetrated the attack had long been under Indian intelligence surveillance, or even that Pahalgram was a « green flag » attack like the Hamas atrocities that the vaunted Israeli Army and Mossad inexplicably failed to prevent on October 7, 2023.

So, with an Anglo-American plan decades in the making to bleed Russia to death via a kamikaze Ukrainian state before confronting China in ashes, who has the most to gain from provoking a bloody Indo-Pakistani war today?

Pakistan as a Western Cat’s Paw During the Cold War

Historically, during the Cold War, Pakistan was backed and armed by the Americans and the Chinese, while India was armed and backed by the Russians. This contributed to President Richard Nixon and his lifelong Rockefeller family minion envoy Henry Kissinger’s racialized disdain for the Indians, the leaked White House tapes of which have long since been fodder for the Indian media. But since the end of the Cold War, the situation has become more complicated.

While Islamabad is still mostly reliant on Chinese arms and technology, Pakistan has courted Russian support also, particularly after the Americans were chased out of Kabul by the Taliban in 2021. Over the past four Administrations, starting in the Obama years, the US has sought to draw India into its sphere via the Quad. That is, an alliance with Japan and Australia, adding Vietnam and the Philippines as potential anti-China bloc partners as well.  But the Vietnamese, with their long memories of genocide by American bombs and mass birth defects from US Agent Orange spraying during the Vietnam War, have rejected throwing in with either side of the Pacific Cold War. During the recent anniversary of the Fall of Saigon in April 1975, the Vietnamese Communist Party dominated press once again acknowledged that over 100,000 People’s Liberation Army ‘volunteers’ aided Hanoi’s war effort, in the years before the Sino-Vietnamese split. This despite the fact that the then Soviet-backed Vietnamese later fought a brief border war with the then US-aligned Chinese in 1979.

The Contradictions Between the US Promoting the Quad and Rabid UK Russophobes Desire to Punish India With Secondary Sanctions on Russian Oil Purchases

The large Indian Diaspora in the US as well as Canada has been a major part of Washington’s push for a permanent Indo-American led bloc versus Beijing. But complications have arisen in terms of Anglo-neocon hostility toward the Modi government. On the Trumpist Right, there is resentment on X and Substack of Indian immigrants increasingly nepotistic Big Tech hiring practices and H1B cheap tech labor undercutting native born largely white US workers wages.

Behind the scenes, my colleague at ESW James Smith suspects some of this resurgent Indian-bashing may be fueled by British neocons and their Washington trans-Atlantic deep state partners resentments of enduring Indian Russophilia and New Delhi’s refusal to stop purchasing Russian crude oil. It could also be coming from the same Anglo-neocon crowd that bashed former Hawaii National Guard soldier and Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard on social media as a closeted Hindu nationalist because of her meeting Bashir al Assad and criticism of the CIA supporting terrorists to overthrow Assad in Syria.

It was the late British Empire that presided over the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, several months before the British also helped birth the State of Israel and permanent war in Palestine. — Stas

For a small and increasingly decadent island vestige of an empire, the British exert far too much influence over Washington. But even they cannot convince the Trump Administration’s China hawks that secondary Russia sanctions versus India, which is an indispensable partner for any ‘containment’ policy toward the Chinese, would be a smart move. In British-dominated Canada, which just reaffirmed its Anglo-globalist colony status by electing former Bank of England governor Mark Carney, Indian separatist/terrorist groups openly agitate against Modi’s government in large numbers. Thus the Anglo-neocon obsession with Russia as Great Britain and Europe’s eternal enemy has made life a little bit harder for Vice President JD Vance (who is married to a daughter of Indian immigrants), Elbridge Colby, and the other Indophile China hawks in the Administration.

Pakistan Supplies Ukraine With 100s of Thousands of Artillery Rounds Via Poland

On the other side, however, Pakistan remains a problematic partner for Russia. This is primarily because Pakistani generals are notorious for two things: their corruption–which enabled the overthrow of the populist multipolar Prime Minister Imran Khan in the teeth of mass protests–and sending their children, nephews and extended clans to be educated and buy property in Great Britain and the US. Those habits have led to the Cold War legacy assumption inside MI6 and CIA as well that they own the Pakistani generals, when in reality both Vauxhall Cross and Langley can only ‘rent’ the Pakistani elites, not own them.

It is the Chinese who call Pakistanis their ‘Iron Brothers’ who hold the Pakistanis confidence, particularly in a crisis like now. The Gulf Arabs as everyone knows due to their money and patronage of the mosques also swing a wide gate in Islamabad. But Pakistan like Turkey which is another old adversary turned difficult partner of Russia, has shipped artillery rounds by the hundreds of thousands to the Ukrainian Army. Artillery rounds that have killed or wounded thousands of Russian soldiers subsidized by the American, British and EU taxpayers, in an echo of Pakistan’s massive role in the CIA’s 1980s Operation Cyclone against the Soviet Army in Afghanistan. Indeed, if it weren’t for the Turkish and Pakistani manufactured shells and rockets, as both the US and EU arms manufacturers have been embarrassingly outproduced by Russia’s ally North Korea, the Ukrainians would’ve faced a full collapse of their front lines across the Donbass and Kharkov regions.

Peace Has Been Breaking Out Across Eurasia, and Washington/London Can’t Have That

All that being said, over the past few years as Saudi Arabia and Iran reconciled, working together to stabilize war-torn Iraq, with Turkey plus Qatar also restoring relations with the GCC and Egypt, the Greater Middle East situation was starting to turn towards peace and prosperity. Add to this picture the International North South Trade/Belt and Road Corridors through the Caspian Sea directly from Russia to Iran, as well as via the Caucasus through Armenia and Georgia to the Iranian heartland, and the picture looked increasingly worse for Washington and London’s chaos agents.

The Lawfare/Military Coup That Overthrew Khan and Installed Sharif

Even though the US sponsored the overthrow of Pakistan’s most popular Prime Minister and peace candidate Imran Khan, this trajectory toward Mideast and South Asian peace breaking out persisted, because Khan’s party continued to enjoy massive support among the Pakistani people. Khan’s biggest crime against the Globalist American Empire was his refusal to support Ukraine and his pursuit of closer trade and diplomatic relations with Russia. On April 8, 2022 Khan directly named the Biden Administration as the instigator behind his upcoming overthrow. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Affairs Donald Lu was singled out publicly as the mastermind behind this additional crime by the Empire of Lies.

The CIA worked overtime to organize Khan’s overthrow by the Pakistani military and to put their candidate Shehbaz Sharifin charge of Islamabad. Their immediate reward was Pakistani military aid in the form of ammunition to Ukrainian Nazis, America’s expendable meat in its direct coalition war on Russia. On the other side of that South Asian conflict coin, Washington has been on a years-long charm campaign with India’s Modi, doing their best to pull him and his likely successors into their orbit.

The Dream of the Neocons and Some China Hawks: A Bloody Sino-Indian War with NATO Getting to Make Money and Cheer on From the Sidelines

Not only is India worth billions in military contracts for the likes of Boeing, Northrup Grumman and Raytheon, manipulating the Indians presents an opportunity to dampen Russian oil exports, as well as the possibility of sabotaging a BRICS+ currency and maybe the BRICS+ bloc in general. But the neocons’ ultimate goal remains pitting India in an unwinnable war with China that the US can wage while hiding behind the Indians’ bodies, as the world’s most populous nation can theoretically absorb casualty levels that, as with the democide of Ukrainian males on the battlefield, would collapse support for such a global war in the US or any European country.

But even with those long-term goals in mind, things have gone awry for the globalists.

Trump’s failed global tariff war and his economic assault on China saw India increase imports from China, with New Delhi quietly opening dialog with Beijing. Meanwhile, Russia continued to advance its diplomacy and International North South Corridors economic ties with Iran and India, expanding and strengthening the BRICS+. In 2024, Russia agreed with Afghanistan on a deal to ship LPG by truck to follow on markets. With post-war Afghan wages being quite low, several billion yuan and rubles in investment could make today’s trucking routes into tomorrow’s pipelines and high-voltage power lines through the famed Khyber Pass. That would mean the nations along the trade routes would now have access to cheap energy for their own internal development.

The Russian Corridor Through Iran and Pakistan to India Can Still Be a Highway to Peace

The biggest and most prized end customer for Russian foodstuffs, hydrocarbons and metals after China of course is India, the world’s most populous nation. A Russian corridor of stability and prosperity (CSP) seemed inevitable. Pakistan even lobbied for and in 2024 received the Russian sponsorship to join BRICS+. That surely did not please the Langley and Vauxhall Cross boys who thought that overthrowing Khan had blocked such prospects.

Globalist Goals in Using Terrorism for Provoking an Indo-Pakistani War

So what’s at stake in this escalation to a bloody Indo-Pakistani war in 2025-26:

One, this would derail the progress of CSP and the possibility of peace breaking out from the strategic and potentially Russian Navy hosting ports of Chabahar (Iran) and Gwadar (Pakistan) on the Arabian Sea to Sri Lanka, and from the Caspian Sea east to Afghanistan and further southeast across the Himalayan ‘roof of the world’, into Burma.

Two, it brings China and India into conflict through Pakistan and thus endangers the BRICS+.

Three, it economically targets both Iran and Russia, two leading energy suppliers and major trading partners with India.

Fourth, this could possibly remove India from the top five economies, causing vast destruction in the subcontinent, especially if the war goes into a ‘limited’ nuclear exchange.

Five, even if the war does not go nuclear, but remains conventional, it is likely to prove something of a stalemate. Despite India’s numerical superiority on paper, Indian corruption and internal problems as well as extensive Chinese intelligence support would likely allow the Pakistanis to give the Indians a bloody nose, in the air if not as much on the ground. And that will lead the Western media to claim Russian arms sold to India failed in combat. What’s clear to us is that Russia will NOT be drawn into an advisory role alongside India against the Pakistani proxy of its Chinese ally, and certainly not while the Chinese are backfilling millions of North Korean shells and rockets supplied to the Russian Army…even as the NKPA has been publicly praised by President Vladimir Putin for liberating Kursk Oblast alongside the Russians. This North Korean troops announcement, one surely greenlit in advance by the Chinese when Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov recently met his counterpart Wang Yi, was intended as a powerful signal to Europe’s most Russophobic governments–especially the British–that the Russians are prepared to take casualties and go all the way to Odessa alongside their Asian allies. And with the American military under Trump hanging back, the Russians can send lots of British, French, Canadian, German, and Swedish NATO ‘coalition of the willing’ advisors home in body bags and caskets along the way.

Sixth, for the globalists there would be the added bonus of Indian and Pakistani protesters clashing outside each other’s embassies and other inter-communal migrant violence around the world, justifying more surveillance and police powers from Ottawa to London and spreading instability to the Gulf region. This is especially a sensitive item for the UAE, which is home to the largest per capita Desi (Indo-Pakistani) diaspora in the world, but also maintains tight security, such that all the Mideast and South Asian terrorist groups know better than to cause trouble there. The so-called Alt-Reich or Eurotrash neo-Nazis, who overwhelmingly support Ukraine as the ‘bulwark of the white race against Moscow’s Asiatic hordes’ would intensify their secretly CIA blessed Desi-bashing propaganda online. The Israelis, who have a history of covert arms deals with Pakistan including during the 1980s, would likely keep playing both sides. As one character said in the movie Lord of War, about the 1980s Iran-Iraq War, ‘what makes you think we don’t want both sides to lose?’

The Anglo-American deep state, the same ones that we pray to God Trump finally realizes tried to murder him twice if not three times using pro-Ukrainian psycho wind up toys to do so (in 2/3rds of those assassination attempts), is circling around the two combatants, egging the Indo-Pakistanis on from the sidelines. It’s all the same people from Washington to London who kept feeding Zelensky his script about Ukraine either being admitted to NATO or building tactical nuclear weapons (both Russian red lines) on the eve of the Special Military Operation, goading Russia into launching the SMO.

Conclusions:
Some Hostilities Appear Imminent But Cooler Heads Can Still Limit the Damage

With Pakistani government spokesmen brandishing their country’s nuclear arsenal and warning of an imminent series of Indian strikes, the subcontinent has entered a dark and dangerous path. One from which the Anglos look to make a killing on the possible deaths of millions. The Devil truly delights in his Babylon on the Potomac and Satanic temple on the Thames.
